  • Dr. Donald Shrump

    Director of Magnus Sports Performance

    Dr. Donald Shrump is an internationally renowned sports performance expert and sports science testing pioneer. Dr. Shrump utilizes leading-edge science and state-of-the-art technology to not only enhance athletic performance and functional movement, but to identify and correct physiological imbalances and inefficiencies to prevent soft tissue injuries before they occur. Dr. Shrump’s success rate is indisputable, and his client list includes elite athletes across the world.

  • Frank Callardo

    Level 3 Fitness Coach

    Frank has >20 years experience. He spent most of his childhood growing up in the tough Southern Section of the Bronx. He attended James Monroe High School, where he played the sport he loved, Baseball, and by 16 years old he was scouted by the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, due to an injury, his dream of pursuing an MLB Baseball career was forever postponed. After high school, he moved to the Dominican Republic and attended the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. After college, Frank began to pursue a fitness modeling career and was featured in many calendars, postcards, and magazines including Natural Physique magazine, Exercise for men, books titled Dios Latino, Iron Men Magazines etc. As part of his own training, he began to become interested in the idea of becoming a certified personal trainer to help improve the health and well-being of individuals through exercise, work ethic, and consistency. He quickly began working for Bally’s, Jack Lalanne, and New York Sports Club where he was highly sought after by his clients for his energy and charisma. After gaining experience with these organizations, he began his own business and founded Fytt4Lyfe which helped hundreds of people for a decade. More recently, he moved to Florida to work at the PGA National at Palm Beach Gardens where he trained many of the ITF (International Tennis Federation) players at the facility. We are very fortunate that Frank was moving back to the northeast and has joined our team. He is very passionate and dedicated to his craft, and you will feel his enthusiasm for helping people enjoy fitness at all ages and all their fitness goals.

  • Diego Largacha

    Level 3 Fitness Coach

    We are pleased to introduce the newest member to our team, coach Diego Largacha. Diego is an ATP Level Fitness Coach from Colombia where he studied at the Colombian National Sports School in 2007. Since 2008, Diego has worked with elite tennis players as the Fitness Director at the Academia Advance Tennis Sport Club Cali in Colombia. In 2014, he worked with players at Team Regional Valle del Cauca until he started to take some regional players on the ATP tour in 2017. He also traveled with the players to work on their strength, power, footwork, and maintaining their mobility through stretching and massage.

  • Phil Yoss

    Level 2 Fitness Coach

    hil earned his certification for personal training through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Integrated Movement Specialist from the prestigious CHEK Institute. His passion for fitness is combined with his experience as a high school teacher and youth swim coach for an ideal situation here at Magnus. Phil enjoys empowering athletes through encouraging them to give their all during workouts. Having never had any success come easy, Phil understands the necessity of hard work over the long term. This gives him the unique ability to assist athletes in understanding the long-term process and commitment necessary for daily improvement and high-level achievement. Phil got his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy in 2014 from Hartwick College. Phil's journey with fitness began over fifteen years ago with his introduction to running and swimming. As a cross country runner and swimmer throughout high school and a NCAA Swimmer in Hartwick College. Phil has a thorough knowledge of how heavy the demands of high-level athletics can be. Currently Phil trains for strength and endurance.

  • Griffin Samuels

    Level 2 Fitness Coach

    Griffin holds both National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). He is actively working towards the prestigious CHEK Institute Integrated Movement Specialist certification. Griffin graduated with an English Degree from Dominican College. Griffin joined CourtSense in 2015. Since then Griffin has worked many elite junior tennis players all the way from 8 years old to college. He navigates injuries, surgeries, and workload to develop bespoke plans for his clients to achieve their goals. He is an absolute asset to any athlete as he has helped a diverse array of players get the requirement strength, mobility, conditioning, and agility to take their game to the next level in tennis, volleyball, soccer, football, lacrosse, golf, padel, pickleball, and more.
